In the Solos and Duos, I remain faithful to the desire that has always been mine to produce an existential and incarnate painting. After many experiments in which the painting was called into question, the intrinsic fragility of painting as much as its memorial force, I can finally begin a loop that leads to a "figuration rediscovered" and assumed, nourished by the "catastrophes" it has gone through - as if out of time - or even archaic, ever more anchored in the physical substratum of painting and which attests, in the end, to an ever possible return to the painting.
