I live in my head and constantly search for peace – not of mind, but from it. My work is a visual representation of my inner world. I’m fascinated by patterns which offer clues to an underlying order. They enable me to analyse a situation and understand what is at play. This helps me assess situations and make sense of things. Unlocking their mysteries gives me an opportunity to manipulate them in order to achieve a desired effect. Colour is the icing on my cake.

Inspired by the patterns and colours glimpsed through a children’s toy. Pushing the boundaries of what is possible with my current mediums and technique. This collection was the result of months of experiments and late-night sessions. My aim was to elevate complex patterns and colour mixing to a whole other level.
Having been diagnosed with Menieres Disease in 2019, finding my “happy place” is often a struggle, but always begins with a period of introspection and reflection. This series was created over several years and represents my ever shifting inner landscape with organic yet strangely unfamiliar shapes lending an ethereal quality to the work.
The challenges of working in isolation during a global pandemic led me to experiment with new mediums and techniques. This collection documents those explorations with different processes including collage and the Japanese Art of Kintsugi. By 2022, I had come full circle and created several pieces stripped down of everything except just acrylic paint and water.
