TROUBLED WATER The Artist loves music. While she was working on this artwork, her studio kept playing the song ‚Bridge Over Troubled Water‘. This wonderful song inspired the Artist for the title of the picture. Especially in these difficult times, we should all look after our fellow human beings even more, listen to them and accept them. TROUBLED WATER is how the Artist feels about the time we, the whole world, is in right now. Everything rest- less, nothing certain. We should be all the more certain that we can rely on one another and are there for one another, listen, look. The Artist worked the portrait in the stripe technique she developed, which combines the manual-artistic work with the brush and painting knife with graphic, digital-looking elements. The Artist experiences the peeling off of the strips as a caterpillar that throws off the parts of the painting like the cocoon. The finished portrait appears in the colors of a butterfly.
