I have been fascinated by the work of Andy Warhol since my youth. I love the simplicity of his work and I also find his use of color phenomenal. I try to integrate that into my own work as well. I have been looking for a long time for depth in my work. I tried out several materials, but I never had a satisfied feeling with them. With polystyrene, however, I can translate my ideas onto canvas. That extra dimension gives a totally different image of, for example, a city view. That is how I see it.
