Christian Büffel (LeBueff ) is a painter, draftsman, and digital-, analog- working graphic artist, living in Germany, whose works explore the human condition.
In addition, his unmistakable surrealist and abstract compositions take a clear political stance. Büffel creates in a “wild, direct and impulsive” style that includes various digital and analog artistic techniques.
His career began back in the 2000s as a graphic and communication designer for fitness and health catalogues. His oeuvre includes advertising graphics, catalog layouts, graph- ics/illustrations, animations and even short films.
From this basic graphic training, the love for Art and painting developed.
Christian was also a musician with the band Come Up Screaming, which was under contract with Sony.
„Representing the invisible“ is a series of purely abstract works by Christian Büffel, which were created around 2018 - 2022.
Büffel represents the invisible, he tries to overcome a representation of reality to create purely with color, form and line. Christian created the artworks using acrylic, oil and pigments, either on canvas or wood panels.
