André BODIN LABODE was born in 1947 in La Roche sur Yon (France). As a teenager, he went to business school in Nantes and at the same time studied Fine Arts.
LABODE is a versatile and passionate expressionist artist, whose work is influenced by Constant Permeke, Egon Schiele, and Van Velde. He uses various media and techniques to create his work, including acrylic, oil, gouache, ink, and collage on wood, paper, or canvas. This diversity of mediums and techniques allows the Artist to explore different aspects of his artistic expression and create varied works.
He has had an international career, exhibiting in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Quebec, Toronto, Ljubljana, Stuttgart, Baden-Baden, and London. Italy has awarded him several major prizes: the Poseidon Prize, the Zeus Prize, and the Menelao Prize awarded in Lecce.
