After studying at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, then at the Ecole Estienne, Alain Pontecorvo began a career in advertising where he met Jacques Séguéla in 1971. In 1976, he decided to return to drawing and painting, which he had not been able to do at the very beginning of his career. His first exhibition took place at "La galerie" in 1978. His subjects are figures, nudes, interiors with figures, urban landscapes, still lifes. He translates what we don't really look at. They are snapshots of nature, of life. Alain Pontecorvo's Artwork is part of a constructivist realism.
