YALIBOYU Nº 18

Yalıboyu Street is a nice street near the Bosphorus between the district of Cengelkoy and Beylerbeyi in the city of Istanbul in Turkey. The Artist was born in an outbuilding with a garden on this street in this neighborhood waterside. The Artist lived in house number 18 as a small member of a family of 5 until the age of 12. In this series, where the Artist paints memories and moments, she expresses intuitive and imaginary learning of her childhood. She also remembers establishing connections with her own self while drawing pictures of the connection she established with the garden while she was growing up and playing games in the garden. And she wanted to express how she felt about her own in the room she slept in her childhood and the view of this room she sees through the window and in the background of the spaces with colors. She feels that her real home is the garden of her childhood.
