REMINISCENCE I

As the prophet Jonah, Tortured by doubt, Unbelievers in our own mission. Afraid of their conversation with God, running from Him. We hide, we endure deprivation, and we suffer. Never grasping Why? Never understanding that each of us is a prophet. A prophet living in fear of himself and the consequences he elicits. Lost, drifting between the fear of God and the fear of men. Submerged below the quiet of the dark, which lures us towards the illusion of personal wealth. The wealth which elicits suffering. With the single safety net, of making peace with ourselves by accepting that we are damned to fulfill our destiny. It is our source of hope. The fate of the prophets, gives us answers to the questions we haven’t asked yet. And raise doubts we never knew before. Do we take the leap? Is it the only path?
