The painting was made during the summer of 2020 and is inspired by the book ‘Life of Pi’ by Yann Martel. His special and colorful story inspired the Artist to use sheet metal to incorporate parts of the text into the landscape. As with a real landscape, the atmosphere and appearance of the work of Art are strongly influenced by the incidence of (sun) light.
